The American Sport Art Museum and Archives is now accepting submissions for the 2007 Sport Artist of the Year Award.
The competition is open to any sport artist who has shown a commitment to capturing our sports heroes and perpetuating their performances for posterity through any art media, including painting, sculpture, print, poster, photography and assemblage.
In order to be considered for this award, artists should submit a brief letter of nomination, a portfolio representative of the body of the artist's work, a headshot photo (for file purposes) and a resume. Acceptable formats for the portfolio are hardcopy posters, prints or photographs, or images on cd or disk.
Submissions should be sent to the attention of Academy Art Curator, Robert Zimlich, and mailed to: One Academy Drive; Daphne, AL 36526.
