Welcome to ASAMA
Thank you for choosing to visit the American Sport Art Museum and Archives (ASAMA), located on the campus of the United States Sports Academy. We are dedicated to preserving, collecting, and displaying the performance and movement of man through fine art. ASAMA creates an awareness of the role that art plays in capturing sports heroes and perpetuating their performances for posterity. The Academy's campus is an architecturally acclaimed structure and ASAMA currently houses more than 1,000 works of art in all media. The collection, believed to be the largest of sport art in North America, also features the largest public art offering in the state of Alabama. This two story mural entitled "A Tribute to the Human Spirit" by Maestro Cristóbal Gabarrón is featured on the building's western facade.
