Wyland Faster, Higher, Stronger, |
The United States Sports Academy is proud to display an original brush-art mural by Wyland, America's premier marine life artist. This one-of-a-kind mural, titled “Faster, Higher, Stronger,” combines the simplicity and power of the Japanese Sumi techniques with Wyland’s personal style and vision.
As an official artist of the United States Olympic Committee for the 2008 Beijing Games, Wyland showcases nature’s ultimate athletes in this magnificent mural, a trio of powerful dolphins surging through heavy seas, to represent the Olympic motto, "Faster, Higher, Stronger."
"I have been inspired by the Chinese brush and Japanese Sumi brush art for many years," Wyland says. "In nature less is more. And with this style of ink brush art I am able to capture the pure distinctive fluid lines of whales, dolphins, turtles, orcas, and other fantastic sea life."
