Eagle Exemplar

The Academy selects a male and a female Athlete of the Month based on votes from the public. At the end of the year, 10 male and 10 female athletes are nominated for the Athlete of the Year ballot, which is presented worldwide via the web 1-14 December.

The ballot, hosted in conjunction with USA Today and NBC Sports, attracts hundreds of thousands of votes from sports fans around the world.

Founded in 1984, the American Sport Art Museum and Archives (ASAMA) is dedicated to the preservation of sports art, history and literature. The ASAMA collection is composed of more than 1,500 pieces across all media, including paintings, sculptures, assemblages, prints, posters and photography.

The museum is open to the public, free of charge, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
